History of Saint Augustin
At the beginning :
Saint Augustin is a private school, that is to say that it doesn't depend on the State. It's name is that of the Saint who lived between the 4 and 5 century. So, it's a religious school too. Then, the school opened on the 21st September 1909.
The 1st headmaster was Abbot Godefray. At the beginning, the school was only for boys and, in 1978, girls were accepted in the school.
European section :
In 2004, extensions were made in Saint Augustin. 10 years ago, Mr Peroy and Mr Thibault created the European section. It's a class where we can do more English, our second language. We learn about the diversity of Europe and each country.
Now :
Today, 744 Pupils study in Saint Augustin, there are approximately 30 classes and the headmaster is Mr Martineau.
